'Process: A Chapter of a Book' 23 Pen and ink on Chinese paper, silk; dimensions variable; Artist in Residence, Shaanxi University of Art and Textiles, China This work is a visual narrative about the process of creation of silk, the mulberry tree, the silk worm and the Silk Road. The work is informed by Chinese architecture and history. It incorporates the representation of the wadang (eaves tile) which is considered as the soul of Chinese architecture. This particular wadang symbolizes 12 leaves (for 12 months), 19 pearls (for 19 years), a chapter of a book. 2007
